Flourishing Waters by Margot Carrera
It is said that what goes on in the outside world is a reflection of our internal world. So my question to you today is, What are we thinking or believing here in California that is reflecting an epic drought? How can we relate that to our own thoughts and feelings? Water in necessary for our own survival. It is the largest per centage of what our bodies are made up of. We know that our thoughts can effect the shape and structure of the water molecule. So please help me understand. What is the epic drought mirroring to us? Thank you for your comments.
I don't know about you, but I find myself frequently effected by moon phases and planetary alignments. I have never studied astrology but have come to know the effects of the different alignments well. As I go through the energies that are emitted during these alignments I notice that for me personally, this current one is about feeling supported and realizing that I have not been supporting myself specifically relating to my physical body.
We currently are going through an interesting phase that seems to be having a strong effect not only on myself, but also on our country. You may have noticed that our government it is currently facing all sorts of issues relating to our environment. Shaking up our country's issues about protecting the Endangered Species Act, Drilling for oil in Alaska, Building another oil pipeline, fracking for oil, leading to another Oil Spill in Santa Barbara,California. We are aware of A fast deal being made behind closed doors that will impact our environment. You are noticing, the earth responding to her being threatened. Major storms in Texas, Oklahoma, oil country. I believe we are being asked to take notice and begin to support our sustainability and the wake up to the fact that we haven't been taking care of our planet, other species living on the planet and ultimately ourselves.
Now is the time to wake up and turn that around. I don't believe it is too late, I do believe that we are being given an opportunity to change the way we take care of ourselves and our planet. Because ultimately, the earth will take care of itself, and what we sow we will reap. So if we contaminate our food source, our water, our air, who will perish? Humanity. So I would like to see us stop fighting with one another; Red States and Blue States, Democrats and Republicans, This religion and That Religion, This race and that race, and come together in a time of restoration, taking better care of ourselves, and taking better care of our planet. The only ones to lose in the end, will be ourselves. United we stand, divided we fall. It was foretold and now we see it happening. Humanity, we can change this. Only make choices that will help to sustain and care for life on this planet and the life of this planet. This is a good place to start. And that's my two sense today.

Margot Sherry Bogdanow-Carrera’s lifelong dedication to nature photography, her preferred art form for portraying this Earth, the planet unto which we are born and bound to preserve, is evident throughout her website: www.CarreraFineArt.com. Nature, in return, provides us with everything necessary for the spiritual journey we take while we remain on Earth. Too many of us, preoccupied with our daily struggle to survive, have lost sight of that promise, forgetting that if we had cared for Earth, there would be no struggle. Margot Carrera’s avowed insightful and artistic intent is to remind humankind of their connection to and with Nature, to remember that every one of us are – or should be – devoted stewards of this Earth. One can readily observe her special bond with every object she photographs and how this inspires each memorable image. “When you look at my website,” says Carrera, “you will discover at least one singular image that speaks directly to you and helps you to recall your own beautiful connection to Earth."
